How GHL Builds Snapshots Work
From purchase to live deployment in 15 minutes. Here is the exact process.
1. What is a GoHighLevel Snapshot?
A snapshot is a complete copy of a GoHighLevel sub-account. It packages funnels, workflows, email templates, custom fields, calendars, and pipelines into a single link. When you import that link into your own GHL agency account, it instantly recreates the entire system in a new or existing sub-account.
Why use snapshots?
Instead of spending 20 hours building a lead nurture sequence, a booking calendar, and a 5-page funnel, you click a button and it's all there, pre-configured and tested.
2. How to Import Your System
Purchase & Get Link
After checkout, you will receive an email with your unique snapshot import URL.
Click the Link
Make sure you are logged into your GoHighLevel Agency dashboard, then click the import link.
Select 'Import Now'
GHL will ask you to confirm the import. Click 'Yes, Import'.
Create or Select Sub-Account
Choose which client sub-account you want to apply the snapshot to. We recommend using a fresh sub-account to avoid overwriting existing data.
3. Post-Import Checklist
- Update the Company Settings (Name, Phone, Email, Address)
- Connect the client's Domain to the funnels
- Connect their Stripe/Payment processor
- Update the Calendar sync (Google/Outlook)
- Review and update custom values (e.g., {{custom_values.company_name}})
- Publish all funnels and turn on workflows
- Register A2P 10DLC for SMS compliance
4. Common Mistakes to Avoid
Forgetting Custom Values
Always update custom values first. Our workflows use them heavily for email/SMS copy.
Not Publishing Workflows
Imported workflows default to 'Draft'. You must toggle them to 'Publish'.
Testing without A2P
SMS will fail if A2P 10DLC is not registered for the sub-account.
Overwriting Data
Be careful when updating an existing sub-account with a new snapshot. It can overwrite funnels.
